Steps
- Whisk the three eggs together until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine two cups of plain flour with the following seasonings: 1/2 tablespoon salt, 1/2 tablespoon thyme, 1/2 tablespoon basil, 1 tablespoon celery salt, 1 tablespoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon ground mustard, 3 tablespoons paprika, 2 tablespoons garlic salt, and 1 tablespoon ground ginger. Stir until well combined.
- Season the five chicken drumsticks with sea salt on both sides.
- Dip each drumstick into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated, then remove any excess liquid.
- Next, dip the wet drumstick into the seasoned flour, coating it thoroughly. Repeat this process (dip in egg, shake off excess, dip in seasoned flour) until all five drumsticks are coated.
- Lightly spray or brush the coated chicken with olive oil on both sides.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and spray it lightly with more olive oil.
- Air fry for a total of 20–26 minutes, checking the internal temperature at the 20-minute mark. If the drumsticks are larger or haven't reached an internal temperature of 165°F, continue cooking in 6-minute increments until they reach 165°F.
