These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Lucid Systems LLC ("Lucid," "we," "us"), a Texas limited liability company that operates Foodle (the "Service") at foodle.menu, foodle.my, and related domains and apps. By using Foodle you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Foodle. Foodle is a family tool: a parent or guardian may set up and supervise use by children in their household, and is responsible for that use. Foodle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them (see the Privacy Policy). By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
Foodle helps households decide what to eat: it searches and organizes recipes, plays short cooking videos sourced from public third-party platforms, and offers family planning tools (library, wishlist, shopping list, pantry, meal planner, portion and pantry helpers). Some features are offered free; others ("Foodle Pro") require a paid subscription. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
Cooking videos shown in Foodle are hosted by third parties (such as YouTube and Dailymotion) and are streamed or embedded from those platforms with attribution to the original creators. Foodle does not own, host, or claim rights in that video content.
Foodle does not require you to create an account or password to use the free Service. Your library and lists are stored on your device. If you create or join a "family," you receive a short family code and a per-device identifier so members can share lists; you are responsible for who you invite and for activity on your devices. Keep your family code private. A paid subscription is associated with the email and payment method you provide at checkout.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) copy, scrape, resell, or commercially redistribute the Service or its compiled recipe data except as expressly allowed; (c) interfere with, overload, or attempt to breach the Service or its security; (d) misrepresent your identity or infringe others' rights; or (e) use the Service to harass others or post unlawful content in shared family fields. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
Plans. Foodle Pro is offered as: $2.99 per month (billed monthly), or $1.99 per month billed annually ($23.88 per year). Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
5-day free trial. New subscribers may start a 5-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins and your payment method is charged the plan price.
Automatic renewal — please read. Foodle Pro is an automatically renewing subscription. By starting a paid plan or trial you authorize Lucid, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis — monthly or annually depending on your plan — until you cancel. Each renewal is for the same period and price in effect at renewal. The first charge occurs at the end of your free trial (if any) or immediately if you do not take a trial.
Reminders. We will remind you by in-app notice and/or email before your trial converts to a paid charge, and before any annual renewal, so you have a chance to cancel.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe's terms.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change affects your renewal, and the new price applies only to renewals after the notice period. If you don't agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
Cancel anytime, in one step. You can cancel from Settings → Plan & billing at any time — no phone call or email required. Cancellation is as easy as signing up.
The Foodle name, logo, design, software, and the compiled/organized recipe database are owned by Lucid Systems LLC and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your household's non-commercial use.
Text you enter (reviews, list items, notes) remains yours; you grant Lucid a license to store, display, and share it with the family members you connect with, as needed to run the Service. Recipe instructions are summarized from publicly available video transcripts and link back to the original creator; rights in the underlying videos belong to their creators and platforms. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact legal@foodle.menu with details and we will respond, including under the DMCA where applicable.
Foodle is an organizing and discovery tool, not a professional source of dietary, nutritional, medical, or food-safety advice. Recipes, quantities, cook times, nutrition figures, and pantry shelf-life estimates are informational and approximate — some are auto-extracted from video transcripts and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying ingredients and instructions, for safe food handling, and for checking allergens. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions, confirm suitability with the original recipe and a qualified professional before cooking or eating. Lucid is not liable for reliance on recipe or nutrition information.
Foodle relies on third parties including video platforms (YouTube, Dailymotion), Stripe (payments), Google Analytics, and cloud hosting (Vercel, Amazon Web Services). Your use of features powered by them is also governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipe data is complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lucid and its members, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lucid harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or others' rights.
You may stop using Foodle at any time and cancel any subscription as described above. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, you agree to first contact us at legal@foodle.menu and try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any dispute that isn't resolved will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Each party will bear its own costs except as a court orders.
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we will update the "Effective" date and, for significant changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
