Brazilian Limeade

  • 5 Limes
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 can (14-oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk (Eagle Brand or any brand)

Steps

  1. Place the 4 cups of water into a blender.
  2. Zest all five limes, ensuring you only take the green outer layer and avoid the white pith, then add the zest to the blender with the water.
  3. Blend the water and lime zest together for about 15 seconds until infused.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove the zest while keeping the essential oils in the liquid.
  5. Juice all five limes using a juicer, ensuring you extract all the juice from the rinds.
  6. Add the freshly squeezed lime juice to the blender with the strained water/zest mixture.
  7. Scrape and add the entire can of sweetened condensed milk to the blender.
  8. Add 10-12 ice cubes (or as desired) to the blender.
  9. Blend for about 30 seconds until frothy.
