Homemade Chicken Shawarma

Steps

  1. Wash the chicken and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  2. Season the chicken with shwarma seasoning, oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken into a preheated oven set at 450°F until fully cooked through (about 25 to 30 minutes).
  4. While the chicken cooks, make an Israeli salad by mixing cucumbers, tomatoes, and shallots with avocado oil, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and cut it thinly.
  6. Place the sliced chicken back into the tray along with the Israeli salad ingredients.
  7. Mix everything together and place it back into the oven to crisp up.
  8. Before serving, char pitas over a stovetop until smoky and soft.
