Privacy Policy

Effective June 25, 2026 · Lucid Systems LLC

This Privacy Policy explains how Lucid Systems LLC ("we," "us"), maker of Foodle, handles information when you use foodle.menu, foodle.my, and related apps. We built Foodle to need as little personal data as possible. The short version: most of your data lives on your own device, we don't require an account to use the free app, and we never sell your personal information.

2. How we use information

3. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share only as follows:

4. Third-party content

Foodle plays cooking videos embedded from platforms such as YouTube and Dailymotion. When a video plays, that platform may set its own cookies and receive your device/IP under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Recipe captions are read from public transcripts; we link back to and credit the original creators.

5. Cookies & analytics

Foodle uses your browser's local storage to remember your lists and preferences — this is functional, not advertising tracking, and stays on your device. We use Vercel Analytics to measure usage in aggregate; it is cookieless and does not set tracking cookies or build a persistent profile of you. We honor Global Privacy Control / "Do Not Sell" signals where applicable, and we do not run third-party ad networks.

6. Data retention

Data stored on your device stays until you clear it (Settings → Clear data, or your browser settings). Family data stored in our cloud is kept while your family is active and deleted on request or after prolonged inactivity. Payment records are retained by Stripe and by us only as needed for billing, tax, and legal compliance.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, secret management). No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the personal data we hold to a minimum to reduce risk.

8. Your rights & choices

9. Children's privacy

Foodle is intended for adults and families and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian is responsible for any household use by minors. If you believe a child under 13 provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

Foodle is operated from the United States and data is processed there. If you use Foodle from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We'll change the "Effective" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
