Steps

  1. Clean the chicken pieces (thighs and wings), removing excess fat. For thighs, remove as much of the beige-colored fat as possible while leaving some on.
  2. Place the cleaned chicken in a bowl and sprinkle with salt to let it sit for a little while.
  3. In a measuring cup or bowl, combine all seasonings: seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, parsley flakes, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
  4. Add butter/margarine, chicken stock/broth, and apple cider vinegar to the seasoned mixture.
  5. Microwave this mixture for about 40 seconds until the butter is melted.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  7. Place the chicken in a baking pan. Brush or massage the melted butter/vinegar/broth solution over the chicken, ensuring it is saturated and flavorful.
  8. Season the chicken thoroughly with the prepared seasoning mixture.
  9. Turn the chicken pieces over so that they are under the skin (especially for wings), tucking the tips of the wings under the thighs to prevent burning.
  10. Pour any remaining liquid from the bowl into the baking pan.
  11. Baste the chicken a few times during cooking, about two or three times. After the first hour, drain most of the juice from the pan and put it back in the oven.
  12. Continue cooking for another 20 to 30 minutes until the chicken is done.
