Steps
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Add three to four spoons fulls of tomato paste and one tablespoon pepper paste.
- Cook them slowly until they darken in color and the oil begins to shimmer (this step builds flavor).
- Stir in sliced garlic.
- Add ground cumin, some black pepper, and pulbear (especially if your pepper paste isn't spicy).
- Finish it off with crushed walnuts and a sprinkle of dried thyme.
- Let the mixture cool until thick, rich, and slightly nutty.
