Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half (or keep them whole and pound them out to even).
  2. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over each chicken breast, spreading it across both the front and back.
  3. Mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle half of the seasoning mix onto the top of each chicken breast and rub in thoroughly.
  5. Flip each chicken breast over and sprinkle the remaining half of the seasoning on the back. Rub and massage it in well.
  6. Lay the seasoned chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, ensuring they are spaced out evenly.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  8. Check if the chicken is done using a meat thermometer; it should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. (Note: If you kept your chicken whole, you may need to cook it longer.)
  9. Let the cooked chicken rest for about five minutes before serving.
