Steps
- Cut the chicken breasts in half (or keep them whole and pound them out to even).
- Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over each chicken breast, spreading it across both the front and back.
- Mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle half of the seasoning mix onto the top of each chicken breast and rub in thoroughly.
- Flip each chicken breast over and sprinkle the remaining half of the seasoning on the back. Rub and massage it in well.
- Lay the seasoned chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, ensuring they are spaced out evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
- Check if the chicken is done using a meat thermometer; it should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. (Note: If you kept your chicken whole, you may need to cook it longer.)
- Let the cooked chicken rest for about five minutes before serving.
