Creamy Italian Sausage Noki Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 pound Hot Italian sausage
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pound Noki (uncooked)
  • To taste Italian seasoning
  • Half of a jar Marinara sauce/Spaghetti sauce
  • 5 oz container Baby spinach
  • A little bit Red pepper flakes

Steps

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet.
  3. Add 1 pound of hot Italian sausage and cook, crumbling it as you go. Remove from the pan once cooked through.
  4. Add 4 cloves of garlic to the skillet and sauté briefly.
  5. Add 1 pound of uncooked noki to the skillet.
  6. Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into the skillet.
  7. Stir in Italian seasoning.
  8. Bring the mixture up to a boil, then reduce heat and cover with a lid. Let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  9. Add half of a jar of marinara sauce (or spaghetti sauce) to the pan and stir.
  10. Add the baby spinach to the skillet and let it wilt while allowing the mixture to come back up to temperature.
  11. Stir in red pepper flakes, if desired.
  12. Let the dish simmer for about 5 minutes until the spinach is fully wilted.
