Deconstructed Lasagna Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Pasta (Penne Rigate or similar)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 8 oz can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • Heaping teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • A few shakes Black Pepper
  • A pinch Salt
  • Handful Frozen Spinach (or fresh)
  • Less than half of an onion, minced Onion
  • 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 5 Frozen Meatballs

Steps

  1. Add the pasta to the slow cooker.
  2. Pour in the water (twice the amount of pasta).
  3. Add the whole can of tomato sauce.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt.
  5. Throw in a handful of spinach.
  6. Add the minced onion.
  7. Add the ricotta cheese.
  8. Give the mixture a little stir.
  9. Add the frozen meatballs (or use meatless meatballs).
  10. Put the lid on the slow cooker and switch it to low heat for about 3 hours.
