- 3-4 Standard cucumbers
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Medium onion (Vidalia recommended)
- 1 cup Sour cream (full fat)
- 3 tablespoons Vinegar

- 3-4 tablespoons Fresh dill, chopped

Steps
- Peel the standard cucumbers. Use a slicer to cut them into thin strips (about eighth of an inch thick).
- Place the sliced cucumbers in a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix well, ensuring all slices are coated.
- Let the cucumbers sit for about 20 minutes to allow excess water to drain.
- Drain the cucumbers thoroughly.
- Cut the medium onion into thin strips.
- In a separate large bowl, combine the drained cucumbers and the sliced onions.
- Add the sour cream, vinegar, sugar (or substitute), and fresh dill to the mixture.
- Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
