One Pot Ground Beef Pasta

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 lb (450 g) Ground beef
- 1/2 medium Large onion or small onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 tsp Italian herbs
- 1/2 tsp (optional) Red pepper flakes or chili flakes
- 3 1/2 cups (820 ml) Chicken stock or broth
- 2 cups (250 g) Penne pasta or any pasta of your choice
- 1 cup (240 ml) Heavy cream
- as needed Grated mozzarella cheese
- optional Parsley or chives

Steps
- Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a pan.
- Add the ground beef and fry for about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
- Finely chop 1/2 of a large onion or 1 small onion. Add the chopped onion to the pan.
- Stir well and let it cook for a minute.
- Add 2 garlic cloves.
- Let the garlic fry for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Season with salt, black pepper, 1 tsp of Italian herbs, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or chili flakes (optional).
- Pour in 3 1/2 cups (820 ml) chicken stock or broth. Bring to a boil.
- Add 2 cups (250 g) penne pasta or any pasta of your choice.
- Simmer for about 10 minutes, until the pasta is al dente.
- Pour in 1 cup (240 ml) of heavy cream and let it simmer for another minute, just until everything comes together in a rich, silky sauce.
- Turn off the heat and sprinkle over some grated mozzarella cheese, if using.
- Cover the pan for 1 minute to let it melt.
