Steps
- Grab a large pot and add 1 pound of Italian sausage to the pot.
- Break the sausage up and cook it through.
- Once the sausage is brown golden, remove any excess grease from your pot using a paper towel.
- Add 24 oz of marinara sauce and then add 24 oz of water (added to jar to get out excess marinade).
- Next, add in 10 oz of pasta shells along with 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
- Give this a good stir, scraping all the flavorful bits off the bottom of the pot.
- Cover with a lid and let it simmer for about 10 to 16 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If you notice the liquid line gets too low while simmering, add ½ cup more water at a time until your pasta is tender.
- Once the pasta is tender, serve it up. Top with Parmesan cheese.
