Steps

  1. Grab a large pot and add 1 pound of Italian sausage to the pot.
  2. Break the sausage up and cook it through.
  3. Once the sausage is brown golden, remove any excess grease from your pot using a paper towel.
  4. Add 24 oz of marinara sauce and then add 24 oz of water (added to jar to get out excess marinade).
  5. Next, add in 10 oz of pasta shells along with 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
  6. Give this a good stir, scraping all the flavorful bits off the bottom of the pot.
  7. Cover with a lid and let it simmer for about 10 to 16 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. If you notice the liquid line gets too low while simmering, add ½ cup more water at a time until your pasta is tender.
  9. Once the pasta is tender, serve it up. Top with Parmesan cheese.
