Sausage Biscuit Casserole with Eggs and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 packages Pillsbury biscuits (butter tasting)
  • 2 lb Cooked breakfast sausage
  • 2 bags Four state cheddar cheese
  • 18 Eggs
  • as needed Whole milk (or heavy cream/half and half)
  • to taste Paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 packets Pioneer Country Gate Gravy (or canned sausage gravy)

Steps

  1. Place the Pillsbury biscuits on the bottom of a greased aluminum pan and give them a quick smash to create an even layer.
  2. Spread the cooked breakfast sausage evenly over the biscuit layer.
  3. Add the cheese (such as Four State Cheddar) over the sausage.
  4. In a bowl, crack 18 eggs. Add whole milk (or preferred liquid), paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Whisk all egg ingredients together until well combined.
  6. Drizzle the egg mixture evenly over the biscuits, sausage, and cheese in the casserole dish.
  7. Pour the Pioneer Country Gate Gravy (or alternative gravy) over the top of the entire dish.
  8. Bake at 375°F for approximately 50 to 60 minutes.
