Shipwreck Ground Beef Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 pound Medium ground beef
  • small or half a small Chopped onion
  • 3 cloves Chopped garlic
  • amount needed for topping Yellow cheese
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 cup Milk (2%)
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1-2 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 1 cup Canned corn
  • amount needed for topping Cheddar cheese

Steps

  1. Add oil to a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as you go.
  3. Push the cooked ground beef to one side of the pan.
  4. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pan. Sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
  5. Mix all ingredients together in the pan.
  6. Throw in the yellow cheese over the mixture, followed by the can of diced tomatoes (undrained).
  7. Pour in the cup of milk and stir everything around.
  8. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, ground black pepper, and a teaspoon or two of other seasonings.
  9. Add the frozen peas and canned corn to the pan.
  10. Carefully mix all ingredients together.
