Survival Goulash Recipe

Ingredients
- 6 (about 1/2 lb) onion
- pork tenderloin
- butter
- 1 Tbsp whole wheat flour
- carrots
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sweet paprika

Steps
- Finely chop 6 onions and fry in butter on medium heat until golden brown.
- Cut pork tenderloin into 3/4-inch cubes, add to onions, and fry on high for 7-8 minutes.
- Add 1 Tbsp whole wheat flour to the pan.
- Add carrots cut into pea-sized cubes and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in about 2 cups hot water, then add 1 tsp black pepper and 1 tsp sweet paprika.
- Simmer for 50 minutes.
- Spread goulash into deep plates in an even 1 to 1.5 inch layer.
- Freeze for 2-3 hours.
- Leave plate at room temperature for 5 minutes to release the block.
- Wrap tightly in parchment paper, then aluminum foil.
- To serve: reheat a block in a pan with hot water, or make soup by adding 3-4 cups water in a pot for 5 minutes.
