Steps

  1. Lay the salmon pieces on a plate and dab them with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Add about half a tablespoon of Dijon mustard to the top of each piece of salmon and spread it across the surface using a brush, spoon, or clean finger.
  3. Season the salmon with kosher salt or sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Sprinkle the salmon generously with garlic powder and sweet paprika.
  5. Spray the top of the seasoned salmon with olive oil or avocado oil spray to coat the spices and mustard.
  6. Place two salmon pieces in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not crowded to allow for proper air circulation.
  7. Set the air fryer temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and set the timer for eight to 10 minutes. (If cooking more than two pieces, repeat the process with another batch of two.)
  8. Check the salmon; it is best to slightly undercook it and add more time if needed.
