Air Fryer Kentucky Fried Chicken

  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2/3 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Dried Basil
  • 1/3 tbsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tbsp Celery Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dry Mustard
  • 4 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Salt
  • 1 tbsp Ground Ginger
  • 3 tbsp White Pepper

Steps

  1. Pour 1 cup of buttermilk into a narrow and deep vessel.
  2. Marinate the chicken in the buttermilk for one hour to overnight.
  3. In a pie pan or similar bowl, combine 2 cups of flour with all the spices: 2/3 tbsp salt, 1/2 tbsp dried basil, 1/3 tbsp dried oregano, 1 tbsp celery salt, 1 tbsp black pepper, 1 tbsp dry mustard, 4 tbsp paprika, 2 tbsp garlic salt, 1 tbsp ground ginger, and 3 tbsp white pepper.
  4. Mix the flour and spices thoroughly until no single ingredient is visible.
  5. Dip each piece of chicken into the seasoned flour mixture seven times to coat it completely.
  6. Arrange the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket with space between them for even circulation.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees.
  8. Cook the chicken at 360 degrees for 18 minutes, flipping halfway through for a super crispy edge.
