- 2 pounds (900 grams) Potatoes
- 1/2 of a large onion Onion
- 3 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt

Steps
- Grate the potatoes using a small hole grater.
- Grate the onion using the same method as the potatoes.
- Squeeze out excess water from the grated potatoes.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Add the grated onions to the dry ingredients and mix.
- Quickly beat the eggs and add them to the mixture while continuing to stir.
- Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and melt one tablespoon of butter in it.
- Using a spoonful, scoop some batter into the hot pan and pat it down to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Fry the potato pancakes for 2 to 3 minutes until they are golden brown on both sides. Flip them over after two minutes.
- Cook the second side for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until fully cooked.
