Steps
- Add a pound of ground beef to a pot on the stove and break it up, cooking it through.
- Once cooked through, add about 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard and 1 tablespoon of ketchup.
- Add in 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of oregano, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
- Add in 1 1/2 cups of uncooked elbow pasta and toss it into the pot.
- Pour in 3 1/2 cups of chicken broth and give it a good stir to scrape all the flavorful bits off the bottom of the pot.
- Put a lid on top and let this simmer, stirring occasionally for about 12 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
- Once the pasta is tender, add in 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese.
- Keep the heat on low or basically off so the sour cream doesn't separate.
