- 1 head Cabbage
- 6 tablespoons Butter
- 1 Onion
- as needed Egg noodles
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper

- Slice the onion into thin slices.
- Melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a skillet and add the sliced onions. Stir to break up any rings that are stuck together, allowing them to cook until they start to soften.
- While the onions are cooking, slice the cabbage into long ribbons by cutting it in half and then slicing it into thin strips, avoiding the tough core.
- Add the prepared cabbage to the skillet with the softened onions. Stir and cook until the cabbage is cooked down and has beautiful caramelization on both the onions and the cabbage.
- While the cabbage cooks, boil a pot of water and cook the egg noodles according to package directions (only needs a couple minutes).
- Drain the cooked egg noodles and add them to the skillet with the caramelized cabbage and onions. Stir well until everything is combined and the noodles are broken up.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper, stir everything up, and serve.
