Steps
- Prepare the compound butter by mixing half a stick of butter, about 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, salt, pepper, and about 1.5 tablespoons of soy paste.
- In a separate bowl or on a piece of plastic wrap, mix olive oil, about 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, salt, pepper, dried rosemary, dried thyme, smoked paprika, and black pepper to create the potato seasoning mixture.
- Cut yellow potatoes in half. Toss the cut potatoes with the potato seasoning mixture until well coated.
- Preheat your oven to 375-400°F (or as instructed by the speaker).
- Place the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet and spread them out, turning them face down to encourage browning.
- Bake the potatoes for approximately 15 minutes until they begin to soften and brown slightly.
- While the potatoes are baking, prepare the other ingredients: cut the yellow onion into pieces, scatter cherry tomatoes around the pan, add asparagus, and season the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.
- Once the initial cooking time for the potatoes is up, remove the sheet pan from the oven. Arrange the remaining vegetables (onion, tomatoes, asparagus) and the seasoned steaks on the baking sheet, spreading them out as much as possible to allow room for cooking.
- Place a piece of compound butter on top of each steak.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the broiler setting in the oven.
- Broil for approximately four minutes until the steaks are cooked through and everything is softened and charred beautifully.
