Slow Cooker BBQ Drumsticks

  • 3 lbs Drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic salt (or 4 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Traditional salt
  • 1.5 cups Barbecue sauce

Steps

  1. Place the drumsticks into a 6-quart crock pot (or an 8-quart crock pot).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, cumin, garlic salt (or garlic powder), and traditional salt to create a seasoning mixture.
  3. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the drumsticks and rub it in thoroughly using your hands or a basting brush.
  4. Pour 1 cup of barbecue sauce into the crock pot with the seasoned drumsticks.
  5. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, until the chicken is tender and starting to fall off the bone but not completely falling apart.
  6. Flip the drumsticks over so that the other side matches the browning of the first side.
  7. Brush the opposite side with any leftover barbecue sauce.
  8. Bake for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until both sides are nicely browned and cooked through.
