Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and onions, season with garlic salt and black pepper, and cook for 5 minutes until soft.
  2. Add rotisserie chicken, Roma tomatoes, and chicken bouillon. Cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add chicken broth or water. Mix in cilantro. Set filling aside to cool.
  4. Prepare salsa: combine Roma tomatoes, tomatillos, chile serrano or jalapeño, habanero, onion, garlic cloves, salt, and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  5. Transfer boiled salsa ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Heat oil in the saucepan, add salsa, bring to a simmer, adjust salt, and simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. Preheat tortillas until soft. Place filling in the center of each tortilla, roll tightly, and secure with a toothpick.
  8. Fry flautas in hot oil until golden on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve topped with sour cream, lettuce, lime juice, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, salsa, queso fresco, and crema Mexicana.
