Ingredients
- ziti pasta
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- pasta sauce (marinara or spaghetti sauce)
- ricotta cheese
- sour cream
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- garlic-infused extra virgin olive oil
- minced garlic
- 1 heaping tablespoon Better Than Bouillon
- kosher salt
- black pepper
- cooking spray
- fresh basil

Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Boil pasta water seasoned with salt and Better Than Bouillon. Cook ziti until al dente. Reserve pasta water, drain, and shock with cold water.
- Brown 1 lb ground beef in garlic-infused olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic.
- Add pasta sauce to beef. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer on low.
- Grate 1/2 cup Parmesan and 2 cups mozzarella cheese.
- In a large bowl, fold cooked pasta with ricotta cheese and sour cream.
- Spray casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Add a thin layer of meat sauce to the bottom of the dish.
- Layer pasta-ricotta mixture, then cheese (ricotta/sour cream blend), then meat sauce. Repeat layers.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Add reserved pasta water to sauce if needed.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
