- 1 head (approx. half shredded) Green cabbage
- 1 medium White onion
- 3 tablespoons + extra for frying noodles Butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- To manufacturer's specifications Egg noodles

Steps
- Shred half of the green cabbage.
- Grate about half of a white onion into the shredded cabbage mixture.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a sauté pan over medium heat (or low and slow).
- Add the cabbage and onion mixture to the melted butter and cook until the cabbage and onions are almost brownish in color.
- Season with salt and pepper, continuing to cook.
- While the cabbage cooks, boil egg noodles according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Drain the cooked noodles thoroughly.
- Add more butter to the pan containing the cabbage mixture.
- Fry the drained noodles together with the cabbage in the pan until heated through and lightly fried.
- Plate and serve.
