  • 1 head (approx. half shredded) Green cabbage
  • 1 medium White onion
  • 3 tablespoons + extra for frying noodles Butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
  • To manufacturer's specifications Egg noodles

Steps

  1. Shred half of the green cabbage.
  2. Grate about half of a white onion into the shredded cabbage mixture.
  3. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a sauté pan over medium heat (or low and slow).
  4. Add the cabbage and onion mixture to the melted butter and cook until the cabbage and onions are almost brownish in color.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, continuing to cook.
  6. While the cabbage cooks, boil egg noodles according to manufacturer's specifications.
  7. Drain the cooked noodles thoroughly.
  8. Add more butter to the pan containing the cabbage mixture.
  9. Fry the drained noodles together with the cabbage in the pan until heated through and lightly fried.
  10. Plate and serve.
