- 2 lb large shrimp
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 large onion
- 2 jalapenos
- oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- Maggi or soy sauce
- chili flakes

Steps
- Clean, devein, rinse, and pat shrimp dry.
- Season shrimp with garlic salt, lemon pepper, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Toss to coat.
- Add cornstarch and flour; toss until each shrimp is fully coated.
- Mince 2 garlic cloves, chop onion into large chunks, and slice jalapenos into rounds.
- Heat enough oil to cover half the shrimp in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry shrimp in batches about 1 minute per side until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Remove most oil and burned bits from pan. Reduce to medium, add butter. Sauté onion and jalapenos for about 2 minutes.
- Add Maggi or soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Return crispy shrimp to pan and toss until coated. Serve immediately.
