Korean Ground Beef and Rice

- White Jasmine rice (cooked according to package instructions)
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Brown sugar
- Sesame oil
- Hot pepper flakes
- Soy sauce
- Toasted sesame oil (for garnish)

Steps
- Cook white Jasmine rice according to package instructions.
- Heat a pan over high heat and add light olive oil, avocado oil, or vegetable oil.
- Add the ground beef to the hot pan. Break it up as much as possible with a wooden spoon while cooking.
- While the beef cooks, mix together the sauce ingredients: soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, and hot pepper flakes.
- Continue cooking the beef until it is crispy and almost starts to crackle and pop (this may take about ten minutes).
- Discard some of the fat from the pan if desired.
- Add the prepared sauce to the cooked ground beef in the pan. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the Korean Ground Beef over the jasmine rice, topping with scallions and toasted sesame seeds.
