Maryland-Style Crab Cakes with Tartar Sauce

  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • to taste panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely diced shallot
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup baby dill pickles
  • to taste olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pickle relish

Steps

  1. Heat a couple tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Form about a quarter cup of the mixture into a patty with your hands.
  3. Place the patty in the pan and cook for about two to three minutes on each side.
  4. Repeat the process until all the mixture is cooked.
  5. Bake in a 400-degree Fahrenheit oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until nicely browned.
